DYSON AIRWRAP LAUNCH.

To promote the launch of the Dyson Airwrap Hair Products, I led the animated content that showcased the technical advancements of Dyson’s latest fan and heating technologies. The animation was projected onto a 2 metre scale replica model of the Airwrap and presented alongside James Dyson’s launch shows in New York, London and Taipei.

Dyson were an interesting client, as their style and brand strives for uncomplicated yet technical design, while still conveying a strong sense of beauty in how they demonstrate the product’s inner workings.

I was sole animator on the project and led the creative direction from proposed storyboard through to the photorealistic polished 3D animation.

THE CANVAS.

With this scale replica 2 metre tall model jutting out from a right-angle shaped board, we could give the impression at low light levels that the product was floating amongst black. Having space around the model allowed us to project labels and highlight those clever little details of the Airwrap’s inner workings.

THE SHOW.

With a launch show in London, New York and Taiwan. Alongside the unveiling presentation of the Airwrap by James Dyson himself, this model was the audience’s next more in-depth look at the product in the viewing gallery, and became a great marketing moment for Dyson’s social media exposure.
